Why I do this

Hi, I'm Lew.

Truth is, it started with my partner's bad back. Watching him struggle with it, and trying to help however I could, got me curious about massage in the first place. Then I noticed the same thing kept happening with my friends — someone was always coming back from a run or a session at the gym with a strain or a niggle, and not really knowing what to do about it.

I'd been a software engineer for about 15 years at that point, working across a few different industries. Good career, but it's a desk job — sat behind a screen all day. I wanted something more active. Something where I could actually help people, in person, rather than through a laptop.

So I retrained. I'm currently working through my Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist qualification, finishing in September 2026.

I live in New Mills, right in the middle of High Peak, and I spend most of my free time outdoors around here — hiking, walking the dog through the Peak District, running, or in the gym. I'm not just reading about what an active body goes through, I'm out there putting mine through it every week too.

If you're after a relaxation massage, or some support recovering from training (or just life), I'd love to help.

What clients say

“Really helped ease the tension in my shoulders after a stressful few weeks. Would recommend to anyone who spends all day at a desk.”
