Sports Massage

A firmer, targeted massage to support training, recovery, and everyday activity — not a substitute for medical care.

Sports massage uses firmer, targeted pressure on the muscles you actually use — useful before an event, after one, or simply as part of a regular training routine.

It's just as suited to keen gym-goers, runners, and hikers as it is to anyone in a physically demanding job. You don't need to be an athlete to benefit.

This is recovery support, not a fix for the injury itself — if you're dealing with a specific injury, I'll always suggest checking in with a doctor or physiotherapist alongside any session with me.

Before you book

Sports massage isn't suitable for acute injuries, fractures, or certain medical conditions. Tell me what's going on when you enquire and I'll advise honestly if it's not the right fit — including pointing you towards a physio or GP where that's more appropriate.

What happens next?

I'll contact you via email/text to confirm your booking.

After confirmation, I'll send you a short form to fill out before your session. This helps me understand your needs, allergies, and any other relevant medical history.

If you have any questions or concerns before your session, feel free to reach out.

Questions?

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear during a massage?

You'll typically undress to your comfort level and lie on the massage table under a sheet or blanket. Only the area being worked on is exposed. If you prefer to keep clothing on, just let me know and we can arrange that.

Are there any conditions where massage isn't suitable?

Massage may not be suitable for certain conditions like acute injuries, fractures, severe infections, or certain medical conditions. If you have any health concerns, let me know during your consultation so we can determine if massage is right for you.

Can I request a specific pressure level?

Absolutely! Everyone has different preferences for pressure. Whether you prefer light, medium, or firm pressure, just let me know. During your massage, I'll check in with you to ensure the pressure is comfortable.
